Douglas Campbell

Douglas is an experience designer and community architect who founded MindshareLA in 2006 as a monthly Los Angeles event series which hosted almost 200 events over the following decade. From the event's early days he used technology to augment social interaction and eventually cofounded Syyn Labs, a spinoff creative collective which gained quick notoriety for “This Too Shall Pass” a music video collaboration with OK Go which has received almost 60 million views to date. Since then he helped launch multiple coworking spaces and more recently began restoring a large wilderness retreat and educational center in Southern Oregon. When he’s not working on his off-the-grid cabin Dougie leads adventures in the vast forests behind the property and travels the west coast of the United States in his VW Vanagon. He enjoys exploring unconventional communities and permaculture projects, and is currently publishing a book about his experiences of traveling through Central America. Andrew McGregor

Andrew has an eclectic background in the not-for-profit and social enterprise worlds drawing from his expertise as a filmmaker, inventor, writer, chessboxing champion, entrepreneur, frequent TEDx speaker, mentor, Highlands games athlete, photojournalist, and a founder of The Tiziano Project. He was named one of ‘LA’s 40 Most Interesting People’ by LA Weekly, was part of a team that won the SXSW Interactive Award for Activism, won the ‘Foreigner’ division of an Independence Day Chess Tournament in Kazakhstan, his work and speeches won MindshareLA’s ‘Showcase Series’, he was featured in the Sports Section of the ‘NY Times’, and he has even received a Certificate of Appreciation from LA’s City Council! Bernice Chao

Bernice is a fully integrated creative director in the world of advertising. She has worked on everything from Super Bowl commercials, 3D google cardboard, experiential videos, digital experiences, social media, print, banners and created an app. Her work has been featured on the Today Show, Good Morning America, Nightline, Rolling Stones, Vogue, NBC, and more. Outside of her day job she continuously works on several non-profit efforts. She is the lead organizer for a local non-profit TEDxCulverCity, guest speaks at schools, makes websites for non-profit companies, and gives free yoga classes.
